ViewCam lets you use your phone's camera as a webcam for your computer. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data. The short version: ViewCam runs on your own Wi-Fi network, it does not send your video or personal information to us or to anyone else, and there is no account to create.
Nothing. ViewCam does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to us. There is no sign-up, no login, no analytics that identify you, and no advertising. We do not have a server that receives your video or usage data, because the app does not need one.
Your camera feed travels directly from your phone to your own computer over your local Wi-Fi connection. It is not stored on a remote server and it does not pass through any system we control. When you close the app or disconnect, streaming stops and nothing is retained.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data, because we do not collect it in the first place.
ViewCam is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else.
You can withdraw the camera and local network permissions at any time in your device's system settings. The app will not be able to capture or stream video without them.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
